Methodology of integral assessment of risks of emergency situations in maritime and multimodal transportation

Abstract

In the modern day, the world sea fleet is experiencing a significant increase in both the number of ships and the cargo they carry. However, the shipping process is associated with a number of difficulties that hinder the efficiency of cargo delivery. Investigations of the risks of occurrence of emergency situations in land and maritime freight transportation processes and development of their reduction methods require special approaches. The paper analyzes the current methodological approaches of transport risk assessment and proposes a generalized model of the development of emergency situations based on the statistical model of safe transportation and the general model of the development of emergency situations. The developed methodology provides the basis for an integral assessment of risks.
