დისკურსი წარმოადგენს კომუნიკაციის ფორმას, ხოლო მისი ანალიზი მოიცავს არა მხოლოდ ენის სტრუქტურულ ასპექტებს, არამედ პრაგმატიკული მარკერების გავლენას სოციალურ და კულტურულ კონტექსტზე. იგი გვეხმარება გავაანალიზოთ სტრატეგიები, რომლებიც ემსახურება ძალაუფლების სტრუქტურების განმტკიცებასა და იდეოლოგიების ფორმირებას. ნაშრომი ეხება ენობრივი მარკერების გამოყენების დისკურსულ ანალიზს და მათი მნიშვნელობების ინტერპრეტაციას. პრაგმატიკული მარკერები (დეიქტიკური, ლოგიკური, წინააღმდეგობრივი, ილოკუციური და ა.შ) ხშირად გადამწყვეტ როლს თამაშობენ აუდიტორიაზე ზემოქმედების მოხდენის კუთხით. გარდა ამისა, განსაკუთრებული ყურადღება ეთმობა „აქტიური“ და „პასიური“ გვარის სტრატეგიულ გამოყენებას პოლიტიკური განაცხადებების შინაარსში (დონალდ ტრამპისა და ჯო ბაიდენის საინაგურაციო გამოსვლების საფუძველზე).
