Abstract

Since the 1920s, the contribution of Georgian writers living abroad, particularly in America, has been invaluable to the development of Georgian culture. The lives and works of immigrant writers are directly linked to our past history, to the unfortunate times and circumstances that forced these writers to leave their homeland and put their main message on paper. The article discusses the life and work of one of the immigrant writers – David Chavchavadze. The writer actively worked in the United States of America and contributed to the popularization of Georgian culture.
