Abstract

The paper deals with the study of the possibility of restoration by surfacing the worn wheel pairs of cranes and various welding methods and techniques that can be applied in the process of restoration. The ways of obtaining defect-free welded joints equal to the base metal are considered. Selection and use of welding materials that will allow to obtain surfaces with better wear resistance than that of the new wheelsets.
