Abstract

The article analyzes the most important monument of the literary heritage of a famous Georgian writer and public figure Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani _ "The Georgian Dictionary". It also presents the principles of compiling a dictionary, its peculiarities and other specific issues. The focus is on the aspects that keep it relevant even today and not only make it an important monument of Georgian lexicography, but also attach special significance to it in the history of Georgian culture.
