The paper analyzes dilatometric curves and proposes a method for determining the coefficient of linear expansion in the temperature intervals of phase transformations. Experiments conducted by foreign researchers and the method proposed by them are used for comparative analysis. The temperature interval of the phase transformation of the dilatometric curve is divided into two regions, and the „AutoCad“ and „MathCad“ software packages are used for the simulation. The values of the regression coefficients are found using the built-in functions of „MathCad“ and the dependence of the coefficient of thermal expansion on temperature in each region is determined.
